Hedonism II unveils the backdrop for its night of enchantment and anniversary celebration at their 25th anniversary party.
Hedonism II unveiled a night of absolute enchantment to over 600 in-house guests and special invitees on Wednesday, November 1. The occasion was the resort's 25th anniversary celebration which kicked into high gear on Sunday, October 29, with an old-school party, a grand pyjama party 'blow-out' on Monday night, and the resort's much anticipated Halloween ball on Tuesday.
Decked out in silver and white and all-round good cheer, partygoers were treated to 'Heaven on Earth', the theme for this year's celebration. It started from the hotel's lobby where there was a mural depicting ancient Bible characters, white horses and two angels with trumpets in tow.
refurbishing project
A lit star-shaped arch welcomed well-wishers down a link way meandering through lush greenery and on to a fabulously embellished main
terrace. The main terrace, of course, showcased soft silver fabric, columns draped in pepper lights and white sheer, brand new banquet seating and a fresh colour scheme. It was all part of the multimillion-dollar refurbishing project that was put into action just two weeks prior to the anniversary celebrations.
A lavish spread of gastronomic delights was served, thanks to the resort's fine collection of talented chefs. Under the supervision of new executive chef, Anthony Miller, the kitchen team over-extended their
creations from the main terrace to the entire main pool deck. The area came to life with several work stations serving hot-off-the-rack Jamaican delights, as well as pasta and a number of not so familiar but equally delightful dishes.
Entertainment galore
Even with all to see and taste, no party at Hedonism II is complete without entertainment, and during this year's week-long celebrations several musical stalwarts graced the stage. They included: Georgia Henry, A.J. Brown and Claudette Miller who performed together in a three-part show on Monday night. Bare Essentials and Tammy T were also featured, while songbirds Robin Banks and Karen Smith provided soulful entertainment, much to the delight of the more mature multi-repeat guests. The repeaters accounted for close to 90 per cent of the guests in-house.
However, on the big night it was Fab Five that brought the house down with an uncharted variation of calypso, reggae and soca. When the presentations and the competitions were over, it was time to dance. Hit after hit, Fab Five ensured that the party capital's newly-resurfaced dance floor was never empty, maybe a little crowded but definitely not empty.
The grand party attracted many well-known faces, including: Mayor of Hanover, Lester Crooks, Ricardo Bowleg, 'The gorgeous' Jennifer Campbell, Glen Gray, Tom Martin, Allison Sutherland, Jasmine Tomlinson-Brown, Bertram Saulter, Ewan Stephenson and Lauren Edwards, both of RBTT, SuperClubs VP of operations, Sam James and other hotel executives, John Moorehead, Stuart-Wayne Douglas, and a host of others.
