JNBS/LAMP land title loan fund
published: Tuesday | November 14, 2006

Jamaica National Building Society is correcting figures it supplied on the JNBS/LAMP partnership for a loan fund to finance the processing of land titles.

The initial pool of funds, says Michael Evelyn, JNBS regional manager, is $10 million, not $1 million, as previously advised and reported November 12 in Sunday Business, and the loan cap is $25,000, not $50,000.

"The sum of $10.0million would allow us to offer up to 400 loans in year one," said Evelyn. "The amount would be reviewed based on uptake and demand."
