Stephanie Forrester
The Bold and the Beautiful's Stephanie Forrester is a force to be reckoned with - one scary mama who still meddles in her children's lives even though most are middle-age. Yet, even though Stephanie is what one would label a soap villain, you can't help but like her. A lot of that credit goes to Susan Flannery, who has played the matriarch since the show's inception and has received multiple Daytime Emmy awards.
Even though we know a lot about the Forresters, one thing that has barely been touched on is, where did Stephanie come from? Well, you're about to find out. None other than sweet Betty White is coming to B&B to play Stephanie's mother. Is this the woman Stephanie learned her tricks from? Are they two of a kind, or polar opposites? Whatever the writers have in store, it should be highly entertaining. White has won several Emmy awards herself and is best known for her roles on The Mary Tyler Moore Show and The Golden Girls. Now, she is Stephanie's best-kept secret, as the Forresters learn their grandmother is still alive.
Also joining White will be Alley Mills (The Wonder Years) as Stephanie's sister. Both White and Mills will begin airing December 1 for a limited run. Don't miss it!
Lifetime television network is airing eight original holiday movies from December 3 through December 25, one of which stars Jaime Ray Newman, who played Alexis Cassadine's (Nancy Lee Grahn) sister, Kristina, on General Hospital from 2001 to 2003. In the Lifetime movie, Under the Mistletoe, Newman stars as Susan Bell, a woman who has dedicated her life to helping others, but never has time for herself or a relationship, so her son enters her into a dating contest on a local radio show. The film airs on December 4 from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET/PT.
On December 1, the Matthew Shepard Foundation will honour one of the world's most acclaimed plays and films, The Laramie Project, on the 30th birthday of Matthew Shepard, who was killed in an anti-gay hate crime in 1998. At the Town Hall Theater in Times Square, New York City, celebrities taking part in a reading of The Laramie Project will include Judith Light (ex-Karen Wolek, One Life to Live), Robert Desiderio (ex-Steve Piermont, OLTL) and Van Hansis (Luke Snyder, As the World Turns). Matthew's mother, Judy, will present the Making a Difference Award by the foundation to the play's creators. Judy Shepard says: "The most touching stories we have received were written after an individual has experienced a production of The Laramie Project. This extraordinary play captures the stark reality that hate still lives in all our communities. I am continually inspired to see how participating in or even viewing The Laramie Project invokes the kind of emotion and passion it takes to begin the process of erasing hate."
James Stevenson (Jared, Passions) and Jacklyn Zeman (Bobbie, General Hospital) will appear at the City of Laguna Niguel Holiday Parade on December 9, in Laguna Niguel, California. The parade starts at 10 a.m. on Crown Valley Parkway. For more information, visit www.lagunaniguelparade.com.
