MIAMI (Reuters):
THE
MIAMI Heat, led by Dwyane Wade, received double-digit efforts from five players
to overcome a 45- point performance from Allen Iverson and claim a 103-91 win
over the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday night.
With Shaquille O'Neal out injured, Wade continued to show the way for NBA champions, scoring 33 points, dishing out 13 assists and pulling down seven rebounds to guide the Heat to their first home win in five games.
Wade, however, received plenty of help scoring and guarding Iverson, who entered the game as the NBA's second leading scorer behind Denver's Carmelo Anthony.
Udonis Haslem chipped in with 18 points and 10 rebounds, and Alonzo Mourning contributed 14 points and seven blocked shots to the Miami cause.
