One of St James' most wanted still being interrogated
published: Saturday | December 2, 2006

WESTERN BUREAU:

Detectives yesterday continued their interrogation of a man who was named among the four most wanted men in St. James on Thursday.

Peter 'Ravers' Johnson of Red Dirt in Flankers, St. James, was reportedly being sought on allegations of shooting with intent and illegal possession of a firearm.

He is also to face identification parades.

Henry McCurdy, the People's National Party caretaker for North West St. James, handed him over to the police hours after a $250,000 reward was offered for his capture.

Stone Crusher gang member

The other wanted men are Cedric 'Doggie' Murray of Glendevon, Eldon Calvert of a Salt Spring address and Rohan 'Don' Gordon, a major player in the notorious Stone Crusher gang based in Norwood.

Police Commissioner Lucius Thomas announced a $1-million bounty for the arrest of the four men.

Meanwhile, the Police High Command yesterday said it regretted its inadvertent supply of an incorrect photograph of Rohan Gordon.

"The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) apologies to all concerned for any anguish occasioned by the presentation and subsequent publication of the wrong photograph of Rohan Gordon," read a statement from Karl Angell, communications consultant to the JCF.

"All necessary steps have been taken to deal with the situation."
