"Dem ago tired fi see we face," screamed from the speakers as, DJ Smoke, from Renaissance Disco, jazzed up the dancefloor with a slew of hits at the National Commercial Bank (NCB) end-of-year party, on Tuesday, on the lawns of Mona Visitor's Lodge, UWI, Mona.

"Dem cyaan get we outa di race," the song continued, and it would have been a virtually impossible task to put down NCB Chairman, Michael Lee Chin, who proved that his capabilities extend beyond corporate genius, and who showed that he is skilful at 'dropping legs', and is also a kind-hearted philanthropist.

After heading the greeting party that welcomed the guests upon entry, Lee Chin spoke, announcing his message for Christmas: "those who can should". He rightfully encouraged all in attendance to do good during Christmas, and evermore, and to "reflect on the good fortune that we have found ourselves". And oh, hasn't he had some great fortune!

As a true leader, he first took to the dance floor joined by Tishan Wade, NCB's public relations officer, and many others soon followed suit.

As expected, the NCB team was out in full force including NCB Group Managing Director Patrick Hylton joined by his stunning wife, Brigitte Foster-Hylton; Courtney Campbell, general manager, Retail Banking Division; Audrey Chin, senior vice-president of marketing and business development at WITCO and Elaine Riettie, vice-president of private client services.

Guests

Naturally, the party was patronised by a number of local heavy hitters, including Leader of the Opposition, Bruce Golding, and his daughter, Sherine, who was not shy in demonstrating her impressive dance moves; American Ambassador Brenda LaGrange Johnson, accompanied by hubby, Howard Johnson; Christoper Zacca; William Mahfood; Marjorie Campbell; John Issa; Becky Stockhousen; Gerthlyn Holman; Thalia and Captain Michael Lyn; Sandra Glasglow; Hon. Justice Ian Forte and wife, Marlene Malahoo; British High Commissioner Jeremy Cresswell; Muna Issa, escorted by her sister's hubby, Christopher Nakash; German Ambassador Volker Schlegel; Michael Phillips; Aubyn and Tamara Hill; Barrington Watson; Granville Marsh; Desmond Halsall; Michael McMorris; Spanish Ambassador Jesus Silva; Ambassador David Muirhead; Barbara Hume; Michael Campbell; Kenny Benjamin; accomplished Jamaican Athlete, Aileen Bailey; Mark Myers; Doreen Howell; James and Charlene Robertson; Joan McDonald; Dr. Guyan Arscott; and Col.
