The Editor, Sir:A 'confession' by a Jamaican 'rogue cop' about corruption in the Jamaica Constabulary Force brought out some venemous responses by some readers of The Gleaner.
Instead of simply reacting to the words of this 'rogue cop', the public should ask for a full investigation of his story.
Jamaica needs its police force. There are good cops and bad cops worldwide - Jamaica is not an exception. Before we tear down, to attempt to rebuild, the 'facts' in this guy's story need to be thoroughly examined, maybe before a tribunal.
The results of that examination should help to determine whether the JCF needs a 'gut re-hab' or 'spot repairs.'
Election time is on the horizon, so, Jamaica, please examine all motives before action. Corruption in the public and private sectors is worldwide. Jamaica is not immune to an age-old human malady.
