LETTER OF THE DAY - Citizens must unite to fight crime surge
The Editor, Sir: The recent attacks on the police force have left many Jamaicans in deep regret and grief for the lives of those policemen who dedicated themselves to uphold law and order for the betterment of the country.

Mugabe would be welcome

The Editor, Sir: Please tell us why there is a problem about land in Zimbabwe before you assume on our behalf that Jamaicans will not welcome the President of a nation. One of our historians (Douglas Hall) observed there are Two Jamaicas.

Weed out the criminals

The Editor, Sir: The recent killings of our country's lawmen speaks volumes of the seeminlgy uncontrollable criminal forces crippling our country. This cannot be tolerated and urgent drastic measures must be taken to weed out these criminals...

Please stop the killings, save Jamaica

The Editor, Sir: I am not sure if it makes much sense to plead to you to stop the killings; 26 dead in 4 days! There are so many of us who love our country, love our people, culture and customs, and whose hearts bleed at the thought of all the violence.
