Meadowbrook, JC bowl off Grace Shield

Last year's beaten Grace Shield Premier League finalists, Jamaica College (JC), face Meadowbrook at Old Hope Road in one of four opening round matches in the 2007 Urban schoolboy cricket competition today.

The match will be preceded by the Grace Shield opening ceremony for the 30 participating teams. This is set to start at 9:00 a.m.

In other opening round matches, Tarrant challenge Norman Manley at Jacisera Park, Spanish Town entertain Wolmer's at Spanish Town Community Centre and St. Jago take on Excelsior at Monk Street.

Other teams down to take part in this year's competition are as follows:

GROUP A: Eltham High, St. Catherine High, Mona High, Kingston College, Calabar High, Penwood High, Waterford High, St. George's College.

GROUP B: Jamaica College, Meadowbrook High, Tarrant High, Excelsior High, St. Jago High, Norman Manley High, Wolmer's Boy's, Spanish Town High.

GROUP C: Tivoli Gardens High, Jonathan Grant High, Dunoon Tech., Kingston Tech., Campion College, Kingston High, Bridgeport High.

GROUP D: Ardenne High, Pembroke Hall High, Camper-down High, Jose Marti Technical, Innswood High, Trench Town High, St. Mary's College.
