  • Guy's Hill get TT equipment

The Jamaica Table Tennis Association (JTTA) on Tuesday handed over several racquets, balls and a table to Guy's Hill High School in St. Catherine.

Samuel Lamount, chairman of the association's development sub-committee, and coach Donald Salmon took the equipment to the school and made the donation to Sportsmaster Conway Kentish.

This is the second table to be given out by the JTTA, the first being donated to Yallahs High last November and more donations will follow to identified institutions, as the association disperses donations received from abroad for the development of the sport.

Guy's Hill High boys were rural finalists in last year's ISSA table tennis competition, going down in the final to St. Mary High, who later became all-island champions.

Kentish welcomed the gift and said the equipment would allow them to continue to maintain an active table tennis programme at the school.
