LETTER OF THE DAY - Youth groups oppose giving contraceptives to minors
The Editor, Sir: As Christian young people, ranging from ages 17-28, who have benefited from a tertiary education in our country, we believe it imperative to formally respond to a course of action being taken by our government that we deem to be unethical, unsound and short-sighted.

Well said, Mr Seaga

The Editor,Sir: This is a response to Mr. Seaga's two articles: (1) 'Some shameful sins of slavery' Sunday February 4 and (2) 'A monumental mix-up for 2007'. I applaud the former Prime Minister of Jamaica for a balanced, insightful and factual account of the transatlantic debauchery meted out by one group of humans to another.

A vicious society

The Editor, Sir: Two events on February 19 left me chilled to the bone and brought home just how vicious a society we are living in - one I witnessed and the other I saw on TV news.

Informative lecture

The Editor, Sir: Please permit me to share with your readers a rich, rewarding experience that I had on Thursday, February 15, at the Courtleigh Auditorium.
