JUTC bus route changes
published: Sunday | March 11, 2007

Due to the closure of South Camp Road on Cricket World Cup match days from March 13-23, and also on April 24, the Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) will make changes to four routes.

All four will be diverted to Upper Elletson Road.

The routes are 66, 81, 86 and 88. The bus stops on Upper Elletson Road will be used.

Passengers wishing to access South Camp Road during those times will have to go on Camp Road, near Up Park Camp; or on Upper Elletson Road in the vicinity of Glenmore Road (near Kingston College Junior campus).

For the convenience of commuters, the route diversions will be posted in the buses.

Commuters are invited to call the toll free number 1-888-588-2287 before March 13 to prepare for travel on JUTC during this time.

Meanwhile, JUTC is also offering a premium bus service to and from the Trelawny Multi-purpose stadium in Trelawny. Tickets are available at the following locations:

Phil's Phonecard Centre

Flava Works; beside

Emancipation Park

JUTC SmartCard Office,

Spanish Town Bus Terminus.

Tickets cost $2,000. To book call 749- 2078 or email gdavidson@jutc.com between 8:30 a.m - 4:30 p.m.
