Application deadline is April 27 - SLB
published: Thursday | March 22, 2007

The Students' Loan Bureau (SLB) has reminded tertiary level students that applications are due by April 27 and has stressed that no late application or status report forms will be accepted.

According to the SLB, applications are coming in briskly and it has received over 1,000 forms via manual and online sources.

"However, the returning students who benefited from having their entire programme approved have generally been tardy in making their submissions," SLB said.

No acceptance

"We wish to remind all the applicants and beneficiaries that the deadline is April 27, 2007. There will be no late applications. We wish to impress the urgency of timely submission," added the Bureau.

Since January 2006, students who apply for a loan from the SLB have found it easier as the Bureau introduced its new state of the art on-line system.

Dubbed 'SLB Online' students may access the site by logging on to www.slbja.com and follow the simple instructions to fill out and submit their applications.

Once the applicants have completed the form online, it will be checked by the SLB.

Applicants will be notified in the event of any discrepancies, and guided to make the necessary corrections and resubmit.

Applicants who apply online are only required to visit the SLB's offices to submit the supporting documents required for the application process.
