Re the man in the cemetery
published: Sunday | March 25, 2007

The Editor, Sir:

I am writing concerning an article in The Sunday Gleaner, re May Pen Cemetery and a Mr. Cunningham. If he lives in the cemetery, why not have a P.O. Box where people could get in touch with him and pay him for cleaning their relatives' graves? I, for one, am willing to pay someone to keep my grandfather's tomb site clean. I used to visit once a year to clean and paint it. I have not been for a few years now because one year when I was going, I heard that a headless woman's body was found in there, so my relatives warned me not to go there anymore.

I know many people would willingly pay him to do the same. He wouldbe making some money towards rent. He should be able to clean six tomb sites per day. He could set up a business without any overheads, then he can move at nights to sleep somewhere else. If all this can be arranged, I can be reached at 933-3663 or 419-4607.

I am, etc.,
