Crash claims one in Trelawny

A 34-year-old motorist was killed and two other persons injured in a crash on the Carey Park main road in Trelawny, yesterday morning.

Dead is Kevin Howell of Linstead, St. Catherine, injured are Henry Ford, 41, of Gordon Terrace, New Haven, Kingston 20, and Garth Richards, 46, of Miami, United States of America.

Reports from the Constabulary Communications Network liaison officer for Trelawny are that at about 2:45 a.m., Howell was driving his Toyota Camry motor car along the Carey Park main road.

On reaching a section of the road, he lost control of the vehicle which ran off the road and into a ditch. The occupants were taken to the Falmouth Hospital where Howell was pronounced dead and the others treated.

The Duncans police are investigating.
