Mullings rebuts statement re JPS
published: Monday | April 23, 2007

The Editor, Sir:

With reference to your editorial of Friday, April 20, I would appreciate similar space to respond to your extremely erroneous statement attributed to me.

This statement ... "that even if the deal is done and a Jamaica Labour Party administration is in office, in which we suppose he will be energy minister, the sale would be rescinded ..." At NO time did I, Clive Mullings, or the JLP prescribe any such anti-development strategy with regards to the JPS for Jamaica.

It is important, particularly during a period leading up to a general election, to carry political leaders factually and not what you perceive them to be saying.

I am, etc.,

CLIVE MULLINGS, MP
