LETTER OF THE DAY - Dynamic approach to boost national heritage
THE EDITOR, Sir: I wish to bring into focus a dynamic marketing approach being undertaken by the country's sole heritage body, the Jamaica National Heritage Trust in its efforts to further develop Jamaica's heritage product.

Basic principles in court sentencing

The Editor, Sir: Kindly allow me to respond to an article published on April 10 by Rev. Devon Dick, in which he made some comments about a suspended sentence handed down by the learned trial judge in a case of carnal abuse.

The problem of windshield wipers

The Editor, Sir: I support the call from a female motorist in the Letters to the Editor of Saturday, April 21, for a programme to address the removal of windscreen wipers from all traffic light intersections of not just Kingston and St.Andrew but throughout the country.

Technical push is lacking

The Editor, Sir: The Jamaican economy has suffered from what economists call a 'diminishing rate of marginal technical substitution' in relative terms when compared to most of its sister colonies that got independence post-World War II except for some of those on the African continent.

Influence of video games

The Editor, Sir: In regard to Mr. Martin Henry's "We have lost our children," I am not going to disagree with the fact us kids in America would have a better shot than you adults and that the video games do condone this type of behaviour.
