Two American soul men and a trio of Jamaican singers will be performing on the lawns of King's House, Hope Road, St. Andrew, on arguably the second biggest slated love day in the country, after Valentine's Day.
Plans for 'To Mom With Love', which will feature Americans Peabo Bryson and Jeffrey Osborne, with Benjy Myaz, Nickeisha Barnes and former To-Isis frontman Duane Stephenson providing the Jamaican singing voices, were outlined at the Hilton hotel, New Kingston, on Tuesday evening.
The Buzz Productions event takes place on Sunday, May 13. Paula-Ann Porter will do MC duties, with Gumption being the backing band.
Shuttle service
Dennis Howard, who gave the details of 'To Mom With Love', pointed out that on concert day entry to King's House will be from East King's House Road, with parking attendants being in place to keep things organised and safe. Howard also pointed out that the parking area will be lit, and a shuttle service provided to the actual concert area.
There will be special service in the VIP area fromthe gates open at 6:00 p.m. until showtime at 8:00 p.m.
Karlene Swaby of FAME FM, speaking on behalf of all the sponsors, expressed confidence in the outcome of 'To Mom With Love', saying "it is an event that we can guarantee you will be a success".
"If you were listening (to FAME) today (Tuesday), you would have heard Peabo Bryson giving you two lines of melody," she said. "We have given it the thumbs up and it will be a success."

Guest speaker, Minister of Tourism and Industry, Aloun Assamba, pointed to Buzz Productions' eight-year track record with 'To Mom With Love', congratulating them on a "clean entertainment experience".
However, Assamba pointed out that there is a challenge to the Jamaican family in the "lewd and illicit so-called lyrics that some uncreative miscreants are trying to pass off as music" "I know that the majority of Jamaican entertainers produce songs with good, clean lyrics".
She issued an invitation for persons to "put on more entertainment events of this kind, that can help us to build and nurture strong families".
