LETTER OF THE DAY - 'No-vote' stance seen as election warning
The Editor, Sir:I am happy to read at last about the stance that one community is taking with regards to the way in which they have been used by our politicians over the years.

Violence begets violence

The Editor, Sir: The recent spate of incidents involving alleged homosexuals being attacked and beaten by angry persons shows that Jamaicans on a whole are finding it increasingly difficult to tolerate this behaviour.

Parliamentary pay: setting the record straight

The Editor, Sir: Your feature 'Letter of the Day' of May 3, made reference to parliamentary salary increases amidst a memorandum of understanding (MoU) wage freeze.

Time to teach tolerance

The Editor, Sir: Jamaica could well be heading for anarchy in our streets, as public officials like the Public Defender, make irresponsible comments like, "Hold your corner".

United States no role model

The Editor, Sir: I read with interest a news item in The Gleaner's March 7, 2007 edition, titled, 'Another U.S. report fails Ja'.
