Saint International model Sosheba Griffith, is now the toast of the high fashion world. The young Jamaican model stunned the world on her way to securing an appearance for Victoria's Secret after only two months actively on the international fashion scene.

She recently completed the shoot for the world-famous brand with famed Jamaican-born fashion photographer, Walter Chin. Sosheba then flew to Paris for another assignment. The 18-year-old is gaining the status of the one of the Caribbean's fastest, rising fashion stars in history.

The statuesque model is currently featured in Italy's Vogue Gioiello (The jewellery edition of Vogue) in a spread entitled 'Jewel as Global Glamour'. She is featured as the face of Jamaica. The magazine's foreword reads, 'The beauty of a woman is the expression of a universal charm that knows no boundary. Vogue Gioiello has chosen faces that embody the sensuality and sweetness of each country with jewels that go beyond material distances.'

'I always knew'

CEO of Saint International, Deiwght Peters, says, "I always knew she would be a superstar, but the pace at which she has reached the top is stunning. She booked these two high profile assignments only 10 days apart."

Peters was cast in the 'father' role two years ago when he moved Sosheba from Trench Town to live elsewhere in the city. He took care of her financial needs for the last two years of her school life.

The Cinderella Story

Sosheba's present jetsetting lifestyle between Los Angeles, New York, Paris and Milan is a stark contrast to her life three years ago. Then, she sold knick-knacks on the streets of downtown Kingston to earn her lunch money for school. She lived with her mother and siblings in Trench Town.

In 2004, Saint held a model search held at Denham Town High School in Kingston. He stood with the acting principal in the schoolyard during the lunch break to see the students' personality in a natural setting. Among them throng, he soon pointed out Sosheba as the one he thought had the most potential.

Today, things are totally different. Sosheba is represented by some of the world's biggest agencies including Elite New York and Paris, and Women Milan. She has already done shoot appearances for Teen Vogue, NYLON Magazine, and Chinese Haper's Bazaar.

At the recently concluded New York Fashionweek, Sosheba created a record when she opened for designers Twinkle during her first season at the Bryant Park tents. She has also appeared for Diesel, Rachel Roy Douglas Hannant, Baby Phat, Chris Han, Tory Burch, Zang Toi, Chaiken. In Milan she did appearances for Roberto Cavalli, MAC Cosmetics/Estee Lauder and in Paris she made turns for Cloe, and Vivienne Westwood.
