EDITORIAL - US sanctions re Darfur genocide
President George Bush, as the Americans have done since Colin Powell first did so, has again characterised the situation in Darfur for what it is: genocide. And Mr. Bush is right to step up United States sanctions against Sudan. Now, it is time for others to stop the dithering and to join Washington in turning the screws on Khartoum.

I was intrigued by the ingenuity, commonsense and public spiritedness demonstrated by the behaviour of the army ants, as carried in your article in Monday's paper, entitled: "Smarty-pants ants".

Public and private sector customer relations in Jamaica

There was a time when one of the biggest complaints about the public sector was that the various ministries and departments showed little concern for the comforts of the public. Is it so today, and how does it compare with private sector organisations? (Neita)
