Captain John Ulett managing director of Security Administrator (LTD)

Thirty-two security officers from Antigua, Jamaica, Nevis and St. Maarten successfully completed the most recent port facility security officer IMO certification course staged by Security Administrators Limited (SAL), the leading provider of maritime security and related services in Jamaicaand the Caribbean.

The course was held May 30 to June 1 at The Courtleigh Hotel & Suites and was conducted by presenters who are certified by the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) to conduct IMO model courses, and included port facility security officers from the region.

This PFSO course carries IMO certification and was coordinated by Captain John Ulett, managing director of SAL.

Captain Ulett noted, "SAL has earned an excellent reputation throughout the Caribbean as the foremost providers of maritime security, as well as being a leader in maritime security training."

He revealed that the company has been responding to numerous requests from port security companies and port authorities all over the Caribbean to assist in their awareness programmes geared at ensuring that our regional ports maintain international ship and port facility security certification.

SAL manages security on Port Bustamante for Kingston Wharves Limited and the trans-shipment port operated by APM Terminals (Jamaica) Limited, as well as providing security services at the port of Montego Bay.
