The organisation, a non-profit group presided over by Rosemarie Greene since 2003, donated cricket gear to her hometown team in Sligoville and the Spanish Town High School.
The group, which also offers the Spanish Town Healthy Lifestyle Programme (literacy and computer training) for free to youth six to 16 years old in the inner-city of Spanish Town, made the presentation to the players and their coach Karl Robinson at the organisation's offices at 2 Hanover Street.
Greene believes sport is one of the most important aspects of "growing a human being" and this prompted her drive in this area.
She also said "once you are healthy, you are able to think and absorb information".
Chess club
Greene also intends to start a chessclub where young Jamaican minds can be expanded, she said.
The gear was donated by Royal Caribbean Bakery and she said thanks to the company.
"Thanks to Mr. Vincent Hosang, the CEO of the Royal Caribbean Bakery, for his generosity in donating cricket gear for the youth," she said.
Greene said she will also be working with Hosang in making his wish of starting a baseball club in Spanish Town become a reality.
"My job is to continue to build Spanish Town, its youth and its people, and assist in removing the social toxins that have infected the town," added Greene, who also directed the public to the organisation's website - www.spanishtownjamaica.com.
