PORT ROYALTY, one of two winners for in-form apprentice Andre Martin and trainer Richie Todd, passes the winning post 1 1/2 lengths ahead of the fast-finishing SPECIAL K (out of picture) in the 10th race for the TOBA Trophy over 1400 metres at Caymanas Park on Independence Day, August 6. He won at odds of 2-1. - COLIN HAMILTON/Freelance photographer

With the Pick-9 boasting a carryover of $3.7 million at Caymanas Park, tomorrow, a payout in excess of $5 million looks a real possibility.

The Pick-9 will embrace race two to 10 on the card, while the Super-6, which starts anew with a guaranteed minimum of $500,000, gets under way in the fifth race.

We look at the super-6, which starts with a three-year-old restricted allowance II (non-winners of two) over 1100 metres in which the Dwight Chen-trained PRINCE TERRON, to be ridden by leading jockey, Trevor Simpson, could be used as a banker. He was narrowly beaten (caught) by RUMOUR HAS IT over 1400 metres when last raced on mach 28 and having looked razor sharp at exercise, the Pat N Jac - Lakefield offspring should prove too good for his six opponents.

Next on the programme is a $170,000 claiming race over 1200 metres to be contested by nine starters, including top contenders KING AL, CRUISING ALTITUDE, KERMIT and the recent winners LA RUDE and ZEALOT.

KING AL truly loves the distance and following his seven lengths second to out-of-class FUSILIER over same on July 21, will only go down fighting. Still, I think the race will come down to the two down-in-class horses, namely CRUISING ALTITUDE and KERMIT.

Both could be a cut above this level, especially CRUISING ALTITUDE, who was not disgraced behind UNCLE D & ME over the straight on July 21, this on a $260,000 claiming tag. And a week prior to that, he finished 1 3/4 lengths third to NIJINSKY'S WAR over 1400 metres. Smart apprentice Andre Martin has the ride.

LITTLERICHGIRL, having underlined her well-being when chasing home KAMECHI over 1200 metres on Monday, gets the nod over SUMMER PRINCESS and HEART'S CRY in the seventh race for maiden three-year-olds over the circular nine course. By Law of The Sea out of the 1991 Derby and Superstakes winner Poorlittlerichgirl, the Gregory Bucknor-trained filly is bred to get a distance of ground and should provide Martin with another winner.

Briefly, MEDICAL REPORT (Martin again) gets the ideal trip in the eighth race for open allowance horses and should win from NASATOL, MAJOR MAYER and recent winner CHADMAN.

The ninth, for the J.W. 'Judge' Hardie Memorial Cup (high claiming) over 1600 metres, should see the recent winner SIR KHAN, old rival HERECOMESFUDGIE, UN-TOUCHABLE, UNLEADED and GUIDING LIGHT in contention where it matters in a field of 10. It will more than likely come down to HERECOMESFUDGIE and SIR KHAN, first and second respectively over the distance on April 14. 'FUDGIE' is preferred.

The closing 1700-metre race looks tailored for LEGENDARY GLITZ, who gets the ideal trip on this occasion and should win from old rivals FLYING FIRETAIL and ROYAL KINGDOM.
