The team comprises nine athletes and they are accompanied by five officials, including chef de mission Suzanne Harris-Henry, who had arrived in Brazil a day earlier than the other representatives.
The team comprises three new athletes and classification was held yesterday to confirm their classes.The athletes are Leroy Cole (discus, class F54), Bryan Ingram (long jump, class F44) and Toto Campbell (long jump, class F42).
An opening ceremony will officially launch the games tomorrow at the Rio Multipurpose Arena, beginning at 1:00 p.m. (11:00 a.m. Jamaican time).
However, according to chef de mission Harris-Henry, the competition schedule is still to be confirmed due to possible changes in the classification of athletes.
Jamaica's team comprises Tanto Campbell, discus, class F56 (world record holder), Toto Campbell, long jump, class F42, Alphanso Cunningham, discus and javelin, class F53, Leroy Cole, discus, class F54, Bryan Ingram, long jump, Class F44, Kevon Reid, shot put, class F55, Vinnette Green, discus, Class F54, Sylvia Grant, discus, Class F57 and Coleen Morrison, discus, Class F58.
Officials are Harris-Henry, Rose Clarke-Williams (support personnel); Errol Williams, coach; Neville Sinclair, assistant coach; and Rory Dixon, team doctor.
