The change has come!
published: Wednesday | September 5, 2007

The Editor, Sir:

I wish to congratulate the people of Jamaica for finally making the right choice and votingfor the good of the country rather than for their party.

It is my opinion that the country can only move forward with this change of government. That being said, the Jamaica Labour Party must realise by now that they will not be able to sit on their laurels. The people voted for change and if the change does not come and come quickly, then they might find themselves being forced out of office prematurely.

Congratulations to the Gleaner, Power 106 and Jamaica-elections. com and the various teams who worked assiduously to bring impeccable, up-to-the-minute coverage to Jamaicans all over the world.

Thank you, Jamaica, for voting your conscience. I look forward to coming home to the change!

I am, etc.,
