James Scott (left) and Kristian Alfonso (right) The last time a soap star did the samba on Dancing With the Stars, (DWtS) the contestant had a wardrobe malfunction that, if not caught, would have caused millions of male viewers to thank their wives for making them watch the show. This daytime actress, Kelly Monaco (Sam, General Hospital), also took home the trophy as the winner of Season One. Now fellow ABC soap actor Cameron Mathison (Ryan, All My Children(AMC) is hoping to achieve the same victory, minus the costume catastrophe.

In the episode titled Awakenings, Ziering plays a man who may or may not be the mysterious person with whom Jenny (Marisa Coughlan) has had a cell-phone romance. The episode premieres September 23 at 10 p.m.
