Harmonics claimed again

As many as 11 horses were claimed at Caymanas Park on Wednesday, including repeat winner HARMONICS in the closing race over 1200 metres.

Ridden by leading jockey Trevor Simpson, HARMONICS was taken from trainer Norman Rose for $210,000 by trainer Roy Shields for himself.

Also claimed in this race were beaten favourite RISING MOON, CHINA TOWN, MOST WAN-TED and SIMPLY AWESOME.

RISING MOON, who finished last of the 12 runners after running very wide (on the lead) approaching the home turn was picked up for $210,000 by trainer Donovan Phillipps on behalf of Baldwin Huie, CHINA TOWN for $210,000 by trainer Ralph Porter for Barrington McLean, MOST WANTED for $210,000 by trainer Dennis Lee on behalf of Alvin Schadschmidt and SIMPLY AWESOME for $210,000 by trainer Denrick Chambers on behalf of Brazilonia.

Claim voided

There was a sixth claim for TOCUMEN in this race, but that was declared void. In the ninth race over the straight five course, the 10-1 winner SHAKE YOUR BOOTY was taken from champion trainer Wayne DaCosta for $260,000 by trainer Richard Todd on behalf of Connecticut, ROBIN'S BAY for $250,000 by trainer Delroy Spencer on behalf of Donovan Russell, WAGONIST for $250,000 by trainer Tony Kirlew for Dimple Ruddock and SEA CRACKERS for $260,000 by trainer Wilfred Chin for himself.

The final two claims came in the eighth race over the straight five course. The 5-1 winner CRUISING ALTITUDE was picked up for $170,000 by trainer Everal Francis for Noskaay, while NYAH MAN was claimed for the same price by trainer Ryan Darby on behalf of Phillip Azar.
