Alison Hinds

Hinds to 'Roll It' worldwide

1720 Entertainment and Black Coral, Inc. are preparing to globally launch Alison Hinds' smash hit single Roll It Gal. Her album entitled SOCA QUEEN will be released this fall. Since its initial release in 2005 Roll It Gal shot to the top of the charts in Barbados, Trinidad and throughout the Caribbean almost instantly.

Roll It Gal was the hit of the Carnivals in London, Brooklyn, and Miami last year. Currently, the Roll it Gal single is available as a ringtone with most major U.S. carriers, including Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile. The Roll it Gal video is now available as a video ringtone at Helio.

Javaughn to tour US

Fourteen-year-old sensation Javaughn, labelled 'Javaughn Genius', is gearing up for his first major U.S. tour this fall. He has completed a 10-track album, entitled SuperStar, that is scheduled for release on November 20 under the Tuff Gong/Ghetto Youths banner. The album is produced by Damian Marley. Javaughn will also be appearing at select shows with Stephen Marley this fall.

'World Clash New York' ends with bang

Beenie Man, Ninja Man, Tony Matterhorn and veteran selector David Rodigan are joining the line-up of top selectors from around the world to celebrate the 10th anniversary and final staging of World Clash New York, entitled, 'Game Over'. "We are extremely ecstatic about closing out World Clash in style, as these past 10 years have been quite rewarding. Our dedicated fans deserve to experience the best in sound clash entertainment while being a part of history," says Garfield 'Chin' Bourne of Irish and Chin, Inc.

'Welcome to Jamrock' set for December 22

Friday, December 22, has been confirmed as the date of the annual Welcome to Jamrock concert for 2007. Event producers BentSpeare Productions, in association with title sponsors Appleton Jamaica Rum, have confirmed that the concert will take place at the Constant Spring football field, St. Andrew.

Damian Marley returns to the Jamrock stage with his producer mentor and brother Stephen Marley, five-time Grammy award winning producer-turned solo artiste. Stephen's debut album, Mind Control, made the world take notice with the lead single, Traffic Jam.
