Osbourne 'wooed' the audience

Dancing along the red and grey brick road of the Half Moon Shopping Centre, patrons eagerly awaited Jeffrey Osbourne's performance.

At the entrance to that road, Prince Tebah welcomed them with a gush of fire flowing from his mouth.

But just ahead, a majestic water fountain created the centrepiece for the fairy tale. The road stretched ahead, with food stations running down the centre and on both sides. Fantastic wines, Hennessy cognac, seafood salads, fruits, desserts all graced the fantasy expanse.

The concert marked the end of the Half Moon Hotel's ambassador's weekend which celebrated the hotel's partners.

At the end of the road was the stage which would be home to the entertainer for the evening. He certainly made himself at home, belting out his tunes to the audience's delight. They sat transfixed as he performed songs like On the Wings of Love.

When the heat became too much to bear, he obliged some of the ladies' request and slipped off his jacket, then his long-sleeve shirt and tie, finally leaving a tan muscle shirt.

'Woo woo woo' vocals

How low can you go? These patrons certainly got their money's worth.

He 'woo woo wooed' the ladies with his popular tune You Should Be Mine. Giving them, as well as the men, the opportunity to show off their best 'woo woo woo' vocals.

While everyone wanted the fairy tale to go on even longer, they simply had to make do when the request for an encore was denied.

The road was quickly transformed into the people's dance floor, as they 'wined' when the sound of soca filled the air.

Guests included Prime Minister Bruce Golding and his wife Lorna, Carrole Guntley, Millicent Lynch, Rowena Minnott, Charmaine Harrison, Tunde Moore, Beth Lopez, Horace Chang, Mark and Betty McKenzie, Rhonda and Julian Cresser.
