IN SLUSHY conditions at the Tony Spaulding Complex, St. Andrew Technical's Andrew Christie hammered in a hat-trick for his team in a come-from-behind 4-1 victory over Trench Town on Tuesday evening.

The victory maintained the Bumper Hall side's perfect start to the ISSA\Pepsi\Digicel Manning Cup season.

Christie's goals in the 62nd, 73rd, and 90th minutes make the young striker The Gleaner Performer of the Week.

In the stormy conditions, Christie blasted in a thunderous right-foot shot from a tough angle for the first goal, cracked his second attempt, which bounced off the underside of the crossbar and into the back of the net and then rounded the stranded Trench Town goalkeeper for his third.

Shavon Carlton got the team's other goal with his 45th minute effort.

The victory saw STATHS improve their win streak to seven matches in a row. The 1985 champions, who have already qualified for the second round, lead Group F with 21 points.
