published: Thursday | October 18, 2007

Lalor

Dennis Lalor has been selected as the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica's (PSOJ) 2007 Hall of Fame Awardee.

Mr. Lalor has been chairman of the Insurance Company of the West Indies (ICWI) since 1983. He is also a past president of the PSOJ, which will be hosting its annual Hall of Fame Banquet on October 25 at the Hilton Kingston hotel in New Kingston.

Significant contributions

The PSOJ Hall of Fame was established in 1992 to honour Jamaican businessmen who have made significant contributions to the development of the country. The first recipient of the award, in 1992, was Dr. Carlton Alexander, the late head of GraceKennedy and a founder of the PSOJ.

Last year's recipient was William McConnell, chairman of Globe Insurance.
