Harris stuns Pagon in final
published: Friday | November 16, 2007

The WIGTON Windfarm Amateur Tennis Championship climaxed this week at the Liguanea Club in New Kingston.

In the men's Class One category, top seed Dwayne Pagon was upset in three sets by Adam Harris 4-6, 6-1, 6-3.

In Class Two, Arnold Douglas was no match for C. Lloyd Allen in the final and went down 6-2, 6-3.

Terrence Forrester beat Leopold Fungsang 6-4, 6-3 for the Class Three crown, while in Class Four, Clive Smith defeated Oliver Mair 6-3, 6-3.

Senior Sasha Hanna defeated youngster Sicquena Sinclair 6-4, 6-3 in the Ladies B event.

Tounament organiser, Llockett McGregor, was disappointed that the torrential rains hampered play.

However, McGregor stated, "The competition was very good, especially in the men's Class One event. The ladies event was also competitive as the tournament provided an opportunity for younger players to expose their talent."
