LETTER OF THE DAY - Pagan wake for Herb?
THE EDITOR, Sir: Please allow me space to express my utter disgust and disappointment at the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) for organising a 'wake' or 'set-up' in honour of Herb McKenley.

Politicians should be professional

The Editor, Sir: The unprofessional behaviour of our politicians is a perfect illustration of the type of seed we sow and, therefore, we are now reaping its rewards.

Politics versus culture

The Editor, Sir: I believe that the culture that currently exists in Jamaica is certainly no reflection of the heritage that Marcus Garvey, Sir Alexander Bustamante, Norman Washington Manley, and others have left us.

Well done, Mrs Davis-Williams!

The Editor, Sir: Allow me the use of this medium to congratulate Mrs. Joan Davis-William who was recently selected as the Teacher of the Year in the LASCO Teacher of the Year competition.
