Natalee Barrington is all smiles as she enters The Jamaica Pegasus New Year's Eve ball.
Women in three-inch heels started soca trains, while men in suits tried to hold on to their gyrating hips. Such was the vibe at The Jamaica Pegasus' New Year's Eve ball.
Later, some women discarded their high heels that had become a humbug, but the satin or sequinned dresses they had donned that night were still enough to keep them looking sassy.
Simply put, it was a glamorous event for the older ones but a few tiny tots were in tow enjoying the party. Guests came from as far as the United Kingdom, Sweden, Bermuda and New York to party Jamaican style.
Singing into the new year
Cabaret singer Maria Myrie was in her element as she sang her heart out into the New Year alongside D' Band, Montana and Nicky O.J. Peter Phillips Disco kept the spirit going in-between sets.
It was a packed dance floor that rocked, rolled and twisted into 2008.
Some who partied included: Major Richard Reese and his wife Pam, Allan Rickards and his wife Claudette, interior decorators Sharon Rowe and Dave Thompson, Erik and Sara Hielmuik from Sweden, Claudette Legowik from Orlando, Yvette Corbett out of New York, Karen and Clarence Reynolds, also from New York, Natalee and Debbie Barrington, Renford and Jacqueline Taylor, Geanell Palmer, Valrie Lee, Yvonne and Kerith Masters, Joan and Roy Hibbert, Lorna and Linval Robinson, Elaine Norton and Winsome Terrelonge.

A very 'ruffled' Renford and wife Jacqueline Taylor were fashionable.
