PLAYERS FROM Super League Club Bodles and Premiership outfit Portmore United will get a chance to impress Jamaica's technical director, Rene Simoes, as they play the feature game of the St. Catherine Co-operative Credit Union/Happy Sutherland Knockout semi-finals at the Spanish Town Prison Oval today.
Simoes will be a guest of the St. Catherine Football Association and is expected to take notes and players no doubt will put out their best to catch the eye of the Brazilian.
Portmore will depend on veterans Onandi Lowe, Kevin Deerr, Fabian Davis, along with the hard-kicking Ricardo Cousins and a supporting cast of Mario Swaby, Steven Morrissey and Anthony Bennett to lead their charge while Bodles will depend on captain Glenroy Levy, Christopher Cummings and Constantine Blair in the 5:00 p.m. encounter.
The teams met in last year's final and Portmore won 2-0.
Portmore showed Cool Sport in one quarter-final game recently that they mean business by whipping them 5-1 while Bodles depended on Levy's penalty strike to get by Independence City 1-0.
In the other semi-final at 3:00 p.m., former Premier League team Naggo Head tackle D.B. Basovak. Naggo Head trashed Portmore side Waterford 4-1 in their quarter-final match while D.B. Basovak beat Rodwood 2-1.
The final is scheduled for February 9.
