DOs and DOn'Ts ... of dining out
published: Saturday | January 12, 2008

It's something that some of us do regularly, especially when our hectic schedule prevents us from cooking. Whether we dine out by ourselves or with family and friends, there are some basic rules that we are expected to adhere to, such as not talking with our mouth full of food.

We asked 20 persons whether these dining habits are a do or a don't for them.

1. Chewing your chicken bone at the end of your meal?

Do: 35% Don't: 65%

2. Asking for another serving of dessert after finishing your first serving?

Do: 40% Don't: 60%3. Using only a fork to eat even if a knife is provided?

Do: 60% Don't: 40%4. Start eating even if the rest of your party hasn't started?

Do: 35% Don't: 65% 5. Negotiate the price for the meal?

Do: 25% Don't: 75%

"I try to get a discount if I am eating with a group of persons. I don't see anything wrong with that," says Charmaine.
