Halting the guns
published: Saturday | January 12, 2008

For many months I have been reminding everyone about the way Air Jamaica is treated by the United States whenever illegal drugs is found on any of its planes. Everyone is aware of the grave penalty that is inflicted on an already poverty-stricken entity. Your caption in today's newspaper ,"Air Jamaica slapped with hash oil fine", has once again prompted me to ask a simple question , "why can't we take a leaf out of America's book and treat the chronic illegal gun situation that has crippled our nation in a similar manner" the world knows, I am once again reminding the powers that be that Jamaica does not manufacture guns. Therefore in order to stem this gun crisis and redeem our nation we must begin to show some guts and charge whichever country that turns up as the manufacturer of such deadly weapons fees that will be adequate enough to be used to assist in upgrading our crime fighting technology. Let's show the world that we intend to rid Jamaica of the deadly gun crime.
