After a vigorous scouting session last weekend, at the Island Village Shopping Centre in Ocho Rios, and Fayor's Entertainment Centre in Mandeville, the search for Jamaica's next beauty queen has intensified.
The Pulse team was out in full force hunting for beauties for the 2008 Miss Jamaica Universe competition. Licensed and produced by Pulse Investments Limited, the next instalment in the series of road shows will take the Miss Jamaica Universe production team to the Portmore Pines Plaza in St Catherine on Saturday, February 23. On February 24, they will be at the Pulse fashion and beauty centre in New Kingston. The entertainment line-up for the road shows will include appearances by Miss Jamaica Universe 2007 Zahra Redwood, CMS TV contestants Rochelle Notice and Fallon Harris and a special music debut by Jamaica's supermodel, Nadine Willis.

This year's main prize of a fully loaded BMW 120i, courtesy of Stewart Motors, will also be on show. The road shows are scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m. and admission is free. This year's competition sponsored by World Wise, in association with the Hilton Kingston hotel and CVM TV, will give the lucky contestant the opportunity to represent Jamaica at the Miss Universe pageant in Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa, Vietnam.
This is accompanied by a fabulous wardrobe and $1 million in cash, courtesy of title sponsor, World Wise, plus gifts and other prizes totaling approximately $10 million in value.
Pulse Investments invites young women between the ages of 18 and 26, who are unmarried, without children, and who possess a beautiful face and body, are aware and intelligent, to sign up for the 2008 pageant.
