The Editor, Sir:Allow me to express my disgust and distress at the Air Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival. I am an avid fan of jazz festival over the years, but for the last four years it has outgrown its space. The promoters of jazz are overselling tickets, packing the venue like sardines in a can. I look forward to this festival, the tickets are not cheap, so I pay my money to sit comfortably and watch a good show. It's a hassle to get to the restrooms, to get something to eat or just move around. Improvements needed
Proper walkways should be provided for all areas. As for Ms Ross' wishes, if that's her style, the promoters should have informed the people during their ads since for the years of jazz we are accustomed to big screens.Diana Ross must have signed a contract and if she came with unreasonable baggage, forget her I enjoyed seeing her onstage, paying that kind of money, we deserve more comfort because (Mr Promoter) without us there would be no jazz festival.Make jazz more enjoyable againI am, etc.,Katherine P.
