To celebrate their 25th year of business, family, friends, clients, suppliers and service providers of Shirlhome Chemical Corporation Limited gathered at Trinity Moravian Church in Kingston last Sunday to give thanks.
The church was full so Rev Trevor Dawkins had a captive audience to whom he imparted a message themed, 'Hitherto hath the Lord helped us.' He told the congregation that in times of want and plenty, failure and achievement, sadness and happiness, God is always there to help.
"God has been good to us so as families, individuals, leaders, a nation and a business organisation like Shirlhome, we have to have the right attitude of peace to grow," he said. Rev Dawkins also urged everyone to allow God to direct their affairs so that they can do their best rather than be satisfied with where they are.
Head of Shirlhome, Lyttleton Shirley, thanked everyone who had joined him for the service, and said that he hoped the company would be around for at least another 25 years. He pledged the company's continued commitment to serving the community and country through assistance to several charities.
