I have observed a worrying trend at public exhibitions. The booths that highlight environmental matters, fire safety awareness and health matters are paid scant regard, except where samples of their products are being given away.
On the other hand, those where food sampling and giveaways are displayed have persons jostling for space.
As a nation, we need to be aware that not only our tastebuds contribute to our wellness and safety.

Missing cousin
My name is Peta-Gaye Hines and I am a Jamaican who resides in South Florida.
My cousin, Shernette Hall, a mildly retarded 30-year-old female, went missing from Morant Bay on April 11. Let me stress that this is out of character for Shernette. She has not been seen or heard from since.
I am begging you to publish this information. You may contact any family member at 876-379-7447 or 876-734-0132. Thanks in advance.

Mugabe is wrong!
With reference to the letter from the Jamaican 'concerned about yard', I say this: Jamaicans live in a global community. Yes, our country has a lot of problems but that does not mean we don't have the right to point out the truth where it may be needed.
Mugabe is wrong and that is a fact.

Dual citizenship
Every child has two parents and it is not always the case that both parents are of the same nationality.
If a child has a parent who is Canadian, American or English for example, and one Jamaican, it would be a stupid decision for that child to renounce their Canadian, US or English citizenship, thus giving up the chance to be educated in those countries at a far lower cost than if they retain Jamaican citizenship only.
This is just one reason why the Constitution should be changed to allow dual citizenship to prospective parliamentarians.
