Date set for Kameka quartet
published: Wednesday | June 4, 2008

The four persons charged in connection with the murder of Assistant Commissioner of Police Gilbert Kameka will return to court on Friday.

They were remanded when they appeared in the Home Circuit Court last Friday.

The quartet are 26-year-old Massimassa Adams of Industry Village, 18-year-old Tyna Gaye McGowan of Mount Industry, 18-year-old Kemar Dawson of Standpipe; and 21-year-old Rohan Townsend, of Irish Town, all in St Andrew.

Kameka, 48, was shot dead in Irish Town on November 29 last year in an alleged robbery.

Kameka headed the Area Four police and was the highest-ranking police officer to be killed by criminals in recent history.
