Bolt feels the stress
published: Thursday | June 19, 2008

Anthony Foster, Freelance Writer

BOLT

USAIN BOLT is starting to feel the heat from being the fastest man in the world.

"It feels good to be the fastest man on the planet - it's a great honour for me," said Bolt, who ran 9.72 seconds in the 100m at the Reebok Grand Prix last month. However, he admitted he was also under pressure.

Bolt, in an interview with the TheSun.co.uk, said being the world record holder was 'a little bit stressful'.

"People keep asking for interviews and asking to come here and do this, do that," Bolt said.

Remains focused

Despite wearing the sash as the world's fastest man, Bolt said he would not lose focus of his aim, which is to win the 200m at this summer's Olympic Games in Beijing.

"I'm just looking forward to the Olympics. It's more important for me to be an Olympic gold medallist, so I'm just keeping cool and looking forward to the Games," he said.

He could not escape the question as to how much faster he thinks he can go.

"I don't know ... I'm not worried about that now, my aim is to win the Olympic 200m gold medal."

He also said he was still uncertain if he would run the 100m and 200m at the Olympics. He said that decision rested solely with his coach, Glen Mills.
