The Editor, Sir:I just want to take this opportunity to commend the Spanish Town commuters.
The other night, I decided to take a JUTC bus home to Spanish Town so, of course, I had to go to the Transportation Centre in Half-Way Tree, St Andrew.
I was a bit wary at first, not sure what to expect especially at that time of night (7:30 p.m.). But I bought my ticket in an area that was well lit and seemed safe enough.
Then, I headed to the designated area and realised I had missed the bus by five seconds. I had to prepare myself for the next bus.
Formed a line
Amazingly, I saw a line being formed and gladly fell in line. What was even more amazing was the fact that everybody that came after me just fell in until it was a long stretch of persons.
Nobody seemed to be bothered by this and, noticeably too (when I looked over to other designated areas), we were the only persons who had actually formed lines.
It was an awesome experience and goes to show that there is good in Spanish Town!
I am, etc.,
