Reward offered for killers of British tourist
published: Friday | August 1, 2008

ST JOHN'S, Antigua (CMC):

Hoteliers and other business entities in Antigua have offered more than EC$350,000 (US$133,587) for the capture of whoever was responsible for a weekend shooting that left a British tourist dead and her husband critically injured.

The Antigua Hotel and Tourists Association Chairman, Ted Isaac, said an EC$250,000 (US$95,419) reward was one of two major initiatives by the organisation in response to Sunday's deadly shooting. The other is a memorial service planned for next week.

Following that announcement a local businessman, who requested that his name not be published, offered an additional EC$100,000 (US$37,993).
