Leadership race dividing party
published: Friday | August 1, 2008

The Editor, Sir:

Over the past two weeks, I have been reading and viewing the various reports made by the different media houses as it relates to the leadership race in the People's National Party.

Clearly, the lessons from 2006 have not been learnt. The trivialities and constant bickering at each other is not a good example especially between persons having the same political interest in mind and serving the same political party.

The result, in the future will be a destructive political divide. It must stop! I therefore suggest the following: The message should be structured so that it conforms to the code of conduct of the party. It should articulate and outline a clear vision, and a clear and realistic plan that will take the party forward.

Let the founders of such a noble organisation feel proud. Let your action attract and encourage young persons toward your party.

I am, etc,
