Back to the '70s

2. Observers are saying the recent moves by the Govern-ment to reintroduce the prices commission and the State Trading Corporation is a case of back to the future. The future being the PNP socialist administration of the 1970s. Business and other observers are more than a little concerned by these moves.

No to divorce!

3. Friends of the businessman are saying she has asked for a divorce but he, knowing that he would have to share the assets, has flatly refused! This, they say, has led to an ugly split in the family ranks, with one offspring siding with the father, the other with the mother.

Legal 'battering'

6. Concern is growing that the legal profession is about to take a beating once again, as there is talk that many had deposited their clients' money in the now failed get-rich-quick 'investment schemes', causing many a real-estate transaction to be stalled. With some calls not being returned, some clients are growing angrier and noisier!

Changes coming

7 Party insiders say heads will roll after the polls, just like they did after the unsuccessful challenge to the founder. The question of whose head(s) will be determined by just who is victorious!

Whose tab?

8 Did the taxpayers pick up the tab for 'The most expensive champagne'?
