The after party that never was
published: Friday | September 5, 2008

Following the premiere at the Carib5 an after-party was advertised to begin at 9:30 p.m. at the Asylum nightclub in New Kingston. However, at 11 p.m. when The Gleaner arrived at the venue, we were the first persons there.

Missing was the usual queue outside the popular night spot to get in, although it was advertised that To-Isis, Busy Signal and other artistes, whose sound tracks were featured in the movie, would be at the party.

The news team saw none of the artistes and the only persons who enjoyed the DJ's selections were the bartenders, who cheered and danced. Sadly, at 11:20 p.m. the lights were turned off at the bar and so was the music. The news team was then told that, due to no fault of the nightclub, the party was over.
