LET'S talk ... relationships: How to get back your ex
published: Saturday | September 20, 2008

Petrina Francis, Staff Reporter

Kevin Richards messed up big time and has now lost the woman with whom he was deeply in love.

He can't sleep at nights, he can't eat and is rapidly losing the desire to live. Richards has tried everything that is possible to get back the love of his life, but she refuses to hear him out because she has heard it all before.

fed up

"She is really serious now and has decided that she is fed up and all I need is just one more chance to prove that I am worthy," the 26-year-old tells Saturday Life.

He explains that he took his ex-lover for granted and treated her in a manner which she did not deserve. He cheated on her and forgot important dates such as her birthday.

He says if he could do it all over again, it would be completely different. He is now seriously thinking of ways to convince her to fall in love with him again.

argued frequently

Shakera Jameshas lost her man and she cannot understand why he walked out on her. They were together for several years and even moved in together. After the blissful moments, they argued frequently and he decided that he did not want to be with her anymore. She says he blames her for everything that goes wrong in his life and tells her that she is controlling.

She says none of what he says is true and he was just looking for an excuse to leave.

Although he has walked out on her, she would do anything to get him back in her life.

Winning over your ex

First things first, do not, in any way, let him or her see you heartbroken or desperate. If you want him back, the key is to be the same you that he/she fell in love with at the beginning of your relationship.

Somewhere along the relationship, whether it's hard to admit it, you have changed. Maybe you gained a couple pounds, maybe you have just been through stress, whatever it is, you have changed and you need to first find out exactly what it was that made your lover leave the relationship that was once so perfect.

After finding out what the problem was, think to yourself of how you are going to fix it. This is going to take some time, but if you really want your loved one back, then you must work hard at this part.

When you finally have fixed yourself up, whether by looks or by attitude, approach the individual. Either 'accidentally' bump into him/her somewhere at one of those frequent spots or simply give a call.

And when you run into him/her, keep it sweet and short. Be yourself and BE NICE! If you ace this part, then you'll be missed in no time.
